This is a 7x10 inch original painting painted on professional watercolor paper. It is painted with watercolor, gouache, and acrylic paint.
Have you ever felt forgotten? Have you ever felt insignificant? Have you ever felt lost? I have. Today Elder Uchtdorf said in his talk “We all drift from time to time. But we can get back on course. We can navigate our way through the darkness and find our way back to our loving Heavenly Father”. His talk reminded me of another one of his talks he gave a few years ago called 'Forget Me Not'.
He said "You are not forgotten. Wherever you are, whatever your circumstances may be, you are not forgotten. No matter how dark your days may seem, no matter how insignificant you may feel, no matter how overshadowed you think you may be, your Heavenly Father has not forgotten you. In fact, He loves you with an infinite love. Just think of it: you are known and remembered by the most majestic, powerful, and glorious Being in the Universe! You are loved by the King of infinite space an everlasting time! He who created and knows the starts knows you and your name."
I wanted to depict Christ holding a bouquet of forget-me-not flowers. I chose to depict him in a blue robe because it reminds me of forget-me-not flowers, and it also reminds me of His mother Mary, who I think of often and aspire to be more like.
