This is a detailed print of my painting titled 'The Year We All Stayed Home'. It is a little painting to both remember, and say goodbye to 2020. I wanted to make a little painting to capture my feelings about 2020, and how I’ll remember it. I think many of us feel overwhelmingly negative feelings towards this turbulent year. So this is a little painting to maybe reflect a little bit of hope and beauty that may have come from staying home.
I am a firm believer that no feelings are bad or wrong, and its healthy to feel a big range of emotions. I also believe that you can find beauty and light in even the worst situations, and perhaps that is something we can take away from 2020.
